Blood Sluts Why Can't Gay People Donate Blood?

Why can't gay people donate blood? - blood sluts

Is it not discrimination on a personal level.
I am AB-, and one of the more useful, I give blood but I can not ... It is as I said, you're a fucking gay dirty and probably has AIDS. (where, as it is no problem with dirty sluts flies)

You can not?? I've never heard that before. Is it just a policy in the UK? I'll check and see if this madness is happening in the States too.

This is one of the dumbest things I heard in my life. I am a blood and bone marrow donor myself, I know what the need, especially for the AB (rare form), and O-(Universal)-donor. Why not let gay donate? The detection of blood-borne pathogens is, long before many things done in one patient. If that's true, I agree with discrimination, transparency is obvious that the impact is not only homosexuals but also those who need an emergency transfusion. Know somebody in the media, or even care? Total nonsense.

EDIT:

* Sigh *

Thanks for clearing that up. I had no idea. No meaning for me, but also with the AIDS situation. Yes, even gay men than heterosexual men have an impact, but cases of HIV / AIDS among heterosexual women strongly thand increasing the number of heterosexual men with the disease is also increasing. How can you justify the rejection of healthy persons may have been the basis of sexual orientation, donation based, where the need is so great? It makes no sense.

To accept or not, there is a perception that homosexuals (especially male) individuals are more likely to be infected with HIV. I can understand the reasoning behind the decision, but is still discrimination.

I never asked my sexual preferences before blood donation (I am the fifth year in school, so I donated my part). Well, I think that is due to the stigmatization of homosexuals will engage in more "risky" behavior (not) my tenure.

It is the same as in 1977 in Canada.

Gay will donate I did not know there was a discriminatory policy, where you could not just blood. Issues such as who understand me, that the West is not as free as it seems .....

En route, they decided that they were "high risk". I worked in a plasma donation center and it was a question we must ask you to withdraw a portion of your donation. It makes little sense today.

For the same reason that people with AIDS be prevented just to the United States as an immigrant single bloody wounds.

Polls show some U.S. laws against gay marriage recently that most people under 30 years of no problem with equal rights for gays, then maybe we can expect that these laws or regulations are lifted in the next ten years.

WHAT !!!???!???

Gay men can not give blood? This could be the stupidest thing I heard in the last few weeks (I am not saying you're stupid, I mean that each inspection is still an idiot can). Drug users can donate blood if I have to clean for a month.

Are they really say that homosexuals at greater risk of disease from the blood for drug users? I did not believe it's true. Perhaps this was true in 1983, but I'm sure there's more.

As gay have a much higher risk of HIV or AIDS and does not take the risk that the handling of blood and they can not use it anyway.

In America, gay men remain for the life of donated blood because of the ban by the FDA in 1983 to prevent the spread of HIV through blood transfusions are prohibited. Unfortunately, the ban prevents an estimated 62,300 gay and bisexual men by the year of blood donation. The Red Cross believes that the policy of "medically and scientifically unwarranted". It is a farce, because the blood supplies are sometimes scarce.

I hope to one day be repealed this ridiculous law.

That is the stupidest thing I've heard in years! You have evidence of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases, so why not blood, and then try? The article states that only 8% were seropositive. Blood supply of the country will make use of others.

And no, I would be lying. But if you had a test since his last encounter with a person other than a partner who has also been tested, I think it's ok lie about your sexuality.

It may have started with the gay community, but also for the bad things. You should just take it all the blood test, as I assumed they were doing.

will be tested for HIV and AIDS, then displays the result we should have blood ur time.

unfortuantly u can not really say that discrimination on the basis of their work as gay men are more likely to be lost infected with HIV or AIDS and for all time, when they found that blood n 'is not made simply makes sense and even dangerous be if they forget and put their blood of a person.

his illness, but unfortuantly by factual information and is not classified as discrimination.
